Treatment process
Step by StepStep 1 – Video pre-consultation
The first step in our treatment process is choosing a date and a time for your online pre-consultation. Then you will automatically be redirected to the payment page to complete your booking.
When payment is confirmed, you will receive an email with a link for the pre-consultation, which will be held on Microsoft Teams. Attached, you will receive a questionnaire that provides our doctors with the necessary information to evaluate your medical condition. Please fill out the questionnaire and return it to the email address that has sent it as soon as possible and before the pre-consultation.
During the video pre-consultation, that will last approximately 45-minutes, our doctor will discuss with you the factors affecting your erectile function. Based on the questionnaire response and the dialogue, the doctor will make the assessment that leads up to an evaluation of your eligibility. All information shared during the consultation will be treated securely by Nordic Stem Cell and a summary of the doctor’s conclusion will be sent to you by email.
In case of technical issues during the consultation, you can call the number provided for you in the e-mail with the link for the consultation.
Step 2 – Book treatment
Once our doctor approves your eligibility, we will send you a link to pay the treatment via email. When having paid for the treatment, one of the Nordic Stem Cell employees will contact you to provide options for treatment dates and finalize your booking. You will receive login information for our app, where all questionnaires, information, and preparation notifications can be found.
The app also provides a chat function and contact information for the staff in our Costa Rica Clinic, which is useful during your stay.
Furthermore, we will provide car transportation covering your needs regarding the whole treatment process in Costa Rica.
Step 3 – Get the treatment
In advance of the treatment, you will receive a schedule of consultations, which are typically scheduled for 2-3 days before the treatment. These consultations will prepare you for the treatment. You will meet our medical staff and the necessary tests will be conducted. Our staff will in detail inform you about the treatment and what to expect.
The day of the treatment, you will be picked up at the hotel and driven to the hospital where the liposuction will be performed.
After the liposuction, we will transport you to the clinic where the preparation of your stem cells will already be processing. Here you can rest until all the stem cells are isolated and ready to be injected.
After the injection of the stem cells, you have to rest before being transported back to your hotel.
Step 4 – Follow-up
In the first days after the treatment, you can expect minor side effects, minor local pain in the area as well as some swelling and redness. Pain related to the liposuction area is normal and will disappear gradually. Follow the guidelines given from the hospital.
2-3 days after the treatment, you will have a follow-up scheduled with our doctor.
If you plan to see Costa Rica and San José, we suggest doing it before the treatment, as you may feel tired, sore and need to limit your activity.
At Nordic Stem Cell the follow-up period is managed using our app, that you will get acquainted to. Our staff will go through the use of the app with you after the treatment, so you feel comfortable using it.
In the app you will be notified when you need to fill out a questionnaire, 1-3-6 and 12 months after the treatment. You will also be able to use the chat function if you have additional questions.
If you detect some kind of change, pain or swelling after coming home you must contact your general practitioner.
